I am trying to rent out the extra bedroom in my condo in Denver through Craigslist. I was hoping to get a fellow med student so I mentioned the distance to Anschutz campus and how ideal it is for a med student but not that I am an incoming MS1. One of the people who contacted me sounds like the ideal roommate, except he's going to be a first year peds resident. That means that during my MS3 peds rotation he would be PGY-3, possibly chief resident. So that got me wondering: is it advisable for med students to have personal interactions -- e.g. living together -- with residents, particularly those in whose departments you will rotate?
(Note: I don't think this is suited for Pre-Allo since I am hoping to get feedback from current med students, especially MS3-4s, in regard to interactions with residents. If this is in the wrong place, my apologies.)
