Hey Doc, I'm guessing you go to LMU? How is it?

I actually like it a lot (well as much as anybody can actually like the first two years of med school). We have a great student body, and most of the professors are incredible (there are about 10% that I could do without, but I imagine that's the same at any school).

I venture to say the facilities are better than any DO school in the nation (better than most MD too). Can't comment much on rotations because I haven't done them yet.

The faculty are very involved with the students and it is obvious they care a lot. In fact our interim dean and some of our professors were in the video I posted.

Overall I am very happy with the school.

Rural. People seemed real nice though.

True, it is very rural, but it is definitely not the "most rural" osteopathic school. Most med students here do not care too much about how rural it is because we have very little time apart from school anyways. On the occasional non-test weekends a lot of students head to Knoxville about an hour away.

My philosophy is that even though the school is rural, it is at a very very beautiful location. At least on my drives to school I get to enjoy some great scenery before I am locked indoors for 12 hours straight studying.

Although the rural location can be a big deal for married couples because the spouses sometimes get fairly bored. My wife however doesn't seem to mind it and we always find plenty to do whenever we have free time.

Nahh, we can never have a new MedPR; he was more of a poser.

Oh and pretty cool video. Glad you guys are having fun.

Hahahaha cool....

Thanks. Yea I couldn't make the video due to other obligations but sometimes in med school you just have to be silly and de-stress. Our faculty is awesome and supports us in everything, and several of them were in the video too.

Harvard Shake :naughty:

One of our faculty members said that if we made a Harlem shake/Gangnam video, he would start writing impassible tests....not sure if srs, but I found it comedic nevertheless.

Haha I love that someone's holding a street sign.

I just about cried. Harlem Shakes are overdone. Time to get moving on the LMU-DCOM GALLON SMASH before it is overdone.

This video was posted 2 weeks ago, but I agree that the Harlem Shake was already getting old (even though it had only gone viral two weeks before that). However, none of the schools had posted one yet on SDN so I figured LMU-DCOM would be the first....😎.
