I see a lot of medical students with more than $150K of student loan debt. How is this possible if the ceiling for student loans is $150K? Maybe the ceiling is $150K for undergraduate only????

Medical $189,125 (maximum $65,500 subsidized)

Annual maximums:
Graduate/Professional* $18,500 (maximum $8500 subsidized)
Medical $38,500 (maximum $8500 subsidized)

This includes the total for undergrad debt if you have any as well ... so you can't go over those limits.
