Hi everyone,

I am an incoming student at a dental school this summer.

I was wondering about when we get the loans if we applied for them? Do we get them at least some time before the school starts? I am trying to figure out finances for housing, car, and etc. If I can't get them in advance, would it be an okay idea if I looked at private loans and pay them off once I get the federal ones?
