great question...i also wanted to know about this process as which will be the best month to apply for the loans i.e. when can we start applying and if it's better to apply for the whole 2-3 years or apply every year and what other details we need to give the bank about our cosigner...i also have questions about cosigner issue which i have asked in the separate loan thread of this forum...please friends...help!!:xf:

Assuming you are NOT a citizen or permanent resident(PR)-

The biggest thing for interest and fees is your cosigner's credit history. You can take up to the school certified amount. ie if your school certifies 110K for 1 year, that's the max you can take or less.

Citi👍
sallie👍 But you have to make interest payments while in school starting this year😱
Access- are they giving private loans this year? Last I checked no.
Chase- I am positive that u and your cosigner must be citizen or PR
BOFA- no idea what that is and too lazy to google.
