hey ya'll:

I have a question concerning financial aid. I got accepted in Mid-May, so I have been scrambling to get all the paperwork done and loans researched. I still haven't received my award letter yet (I am expecting it to come this week though).

How long did it take you guys for your stafford and private loans paperwork to get filled out and processed completely? And has anyone received their first deposit yet?

Thanks!

Most federal loans will not be released to the student until a week or two after school starts. That way they can confirm your full time student status.

It takes about 15 minutes for me to fill everything out. It takes a couple of weeks to process, but most schools set disbursement dates (as Lostinbul said) sometime during the first couple weeks of school, so don't plan on getting any money until AFTER you start school.
