If you have to repeat a year can you take loans out for that?

I don't see why not...

Have you contacted your financial aid office? They would probably be your best resource in this instance. I talk to mine regularly about my financial aid and have managed to get some very very good deals on my FA package. I got a commuter allowance and even expanded my aid for being nice to them. They put up with about as much crap as pharmacy professionals do. Lol 🙂

At my school it depends on whether or not you're enrolled in enough credit hours to be considered a half-time student. At my school 6 credit hours is considered half-time.

it would probably depend on how many credits you are taking for the semester/year and your overall GPA since federal loans have a minimum you must maintain in order to qualify. If its your first semester/year then it may pose a problem if you retake 2 courses if you received an F.
