Local Medical Setting for Local Practice Purposes

Hey everybody!


Just wanna ask.. whats the purpose of going to a foreign med school ( i.e if ur Japanese, u go to US to learn ) only to come back to your own country and practice medicine ?

When u go oversease/other countries, u learn medicine from their perspective. When you return to your homeland, its hardly the samescope of medicine practiced right ? Unless of course, your own country does not have a developed medical education teaching structure OR you intend to practive at the country you originally studied, i find no reason to go overseas to study undergraduate medicine .
