I’m not at that point of my career but a more experienced colleague says he’s going to do this the last couple years of his career. Travel a little bit, take time off etc.

Sounds great in theory, but is it realistic? Seems like most of the spots are kind of rent to own deals as opposed to true locums assignments.

Maybe as there are more female providers there may be a niche covering maternity leave?

Just curious if our specialty is congruent to this kind of thing and if anyone has experience.

Not enough money to cover he risk. Procedures on people you do not know and will never see again makes complications much harder to slip by.
