Apologies if this has been brought up, I've had trouble tracking down my answer in previous threads.

I was just curious as to how much time in advance you guys gave each of your professors to write you letters. I believed a good general timeline would have been 1 month. But it's been over a month and only 1/4 of my references have been submitted :/
Is this a really busy time for professors/dentists? Do they really struggle with writing an accurate letter? Or are they just generally procrastinators.
I've given a reminder already and I don't want to seem too pushy, is the best thing to do just wait it out? I don't want to have to remove them and take the chance of adding any new refs if theyre the same way... They have my CV and PS and know me fairly well.
Also the reason I didn't ask them well in advance of this cycle was I figured they wouldn't have started a draft until they received the email notification from AADSAS

2 of my prof did it within a week

dentist and other prof over a month and TBD

guess some people just dont give a F...

ya same problem. i asked my recommenders in early may, sent them the link the first week of june. 2 science profs had them in within a week, other prof and former boss have yet to submit, even with another reminder. ugh

pretty frustrating when i know i can sit and put out a good letter in less than an hour

I asked for 1 about a year ago, 2 in April, 1 in May. I didn't want to use the letter service my school has, but I went with it so people could actually write and submit letters before June 1. My semester ends early May, so trying to get a hold of people around June 1 didn't sound like a good idea.
