"The sponsoring institution must document the availability of at least. 1,000 encounters per resident"
Are we suppose to log 1000 clinical encounters are people really doing this? and if so were will i log this under?

Logging 1000 encounters resident is not required to graduate.

It is probably a requirement for institutions that are applying to become a residency. They have to show they have at least 1000 rounds, office visits, surgeries every 3 years, per resident.

Similar process for the surgical side. They have to prove they have X number of surgeries in each category before getting approved.

what considered a trauma case? is like an ankle sprain without fracture a trauma? or is a toe stub without a fracture a trauma?

If you’re having to log clinic encounters or toe fractures for trauma logs you’re at the wrong residency program.
