As it's been a while since our medical school interviews, I wonder if people remember the general logistics? For example:

- how to get to the pre-interview dinners
- what to do with luggage on the interview day
- what to bring with you on interview day (i.e. a leather-wrapped legal pad and pen vs. backpack / messenger bag, etc.)
- etc.

😳

I think this question is asked every year and in a variety of different ways. But being as I had the same exact questions last year I'll try and help you out.

- Usually residents or someone from the program will pick you up for dinner. The programs realize that you're from out of town and don't know how to get around etc. and so they provide most transportation during the interview process (i.e. to/from meals, to hospitals/offices, etc.) Getting to/from the airport may or may not be your own responsibility.
- Check your luggage with the front desk of the hotel. It's a locked luggage room (although I'd still use those little locks on your zippers) and then get it at the end of the interview day.
- Take a black portfolio, preferably one without the name of another program on it, with paper and a pen inside and any cheat sheet materials on the programs to help remind you of questions to ask etc.
- Lastly, the med ed people in the department are very helpful and you can always call them with questions. You won't get marked down as a dumb-ass who called with a logistics questions on your official interview record.

Good luck!
