Has anyone received a phone interview from Loma Linda? I am not quite sure what it is and what the difference is from regular interviews? Is it because I live in the east coast? Please help me out if anyone knows anything about phone interviews.

I have heard of phone interviews related to jobs only...I did not know they do it for School admissions too.

My experience (job related only)
It can be one person on the other side of line or multiple people listening to you and asking questions ..what ever the scenario is they will Introduce themselves first and ask you to tell a little bit about yourself (not an actual question but just to get you comfortable). All the question will pretty much be same as face to face interview.

Advice:
Even though I know it's a phone interview I like to dressup (rather than wearing my PJs) as if I am going to a face to face one ..that gets me in to that professional mood and prepares me to be alert as if they can see my expressions (trust me it helps)

Also make sure you sit comfortably on a chair and not on your bed or couch....your voice and the words coming out of your mouth will make difference here....try it yourself to see how much it helps to stay focussed when sitting upright.

it's going to be a phone conversation so avoid awkward pauses. if you didnot understand the question ask them to repeat it ...rather than assuming what they asked.

be prepared for technology hickups...make sure where ever you are sitting you chose a quite place, where signals are sufficient (use land line if possible). and let people around you know that you will be in an interview so they can avoid calling or disturbing you.

Let mek now how it went GOOD LUCK!
