Hey guys, I'll be at Loma Linda Nov 1st for a morning interview-What times are your interviews? It seems that Loma Linda's severe selectivity before offering interviews means that they only offer interviews when they are very interested in the applicant (unlike Nova- according to many friends who interviewed there). What do you think? So is Loma Linda your top choice? Are you flying or driving? Hotel choices? I actually had another interview offer from a different school which conflicted with this date so I bumped the other school til Dec 3. because I am really excited about LLU. Anybody have some valuable interview feedback that wasn't posted on the interview section? I am always amazed at how interviewees are surprised that their interview focuses on family and spirituality. The secondary is the same. How do you get past the secondary without realizing how important that is to LLU? Feel free to message me if you don't want to post all these answers.

I had an interview there last year, but did not get in. They definitly ask a lot of questions about yourself and your family and that kind of thing. However, unless you're SDA or have steller stats, i wouldn't hold your breath about getting in.

Here we go again. While being SDA is definitely an advantage at LLU since they would prefer to accept their own, you are not overly handicapped if you are not. I'd say your chances are as good or slightly better than if you were an out of state student looking for admission to a state school.

You should definitely go and check out LLU. The people over there are extremely nice. The campus itself is very small with medical and pharmacy buildings next to the dental.
Staying option: The Loma Linda University Inn is very comfortable and is pretty close to the campus and has free shuttles that go back and forth between campus and inn.
Good luck!🙂

ps: I am not a SDA applicant, but I did not feel anything different. There were a lot of non-SDA students on campus. so, like lemoncurry mentioned your religion does not matter.

I had a great time at the interview there last year. Everyone was very friendly. However, your religion does matter. If you simply look at the statistics you will see that about 60%-70% of the class is made up of SDA. I agree with lemon curry's statement that your chances of getting in are similar to applying to a state school that is out of your state. Dental school i hard enough to get into, why make it even harder on yourself, unless you really want to go there or application costs are not a concern.
