Is the LLU "rolling admissions" or they review at the end of the cycle? Do someone know the contact person in the school for the LLU queries? By the way, when does the applcation open for the same.

my friend the cycle for 2012 -2013 will start from April to July as it is provided by Loma Linda website , follow this link:

http://www.llu.edu/dentistry/admissions/idp.page?

you should call the nunmbers appear at the bottom of the following web page :

http://www.llu.edu/dentistry/admissions/index.page?

and you can ask them if they do rolling admission or they will call at the end of their dead line date ...
you can find all answears to your questions on website of the university and their CAAPID page ...

For people just like me, here are the details I would like to tell.
1.It's not the rolling admissions
2.will be reviewed by the end of the cycle.
3. Will be called for the interview n practical interview at the same day.
4. Dental school transcript should directly be sent from the school. This part is really hard.

I would like to correct the 3rd line. For bench test portion LLU calls almost everyone who ever has applied. Then they check our practical work and call very limited number of people for personal interview which happens after 2-3 days of bench test.

Also they love diversity..so if you are Indian..as many of us are that are applying..its huge competition right harry? But trying never hurts.
 
hey dentgod,
i have a query abt ur point 4 that is.... i have3 sealed transcripts from my home university which i used one of them for wes evalu but remaining 2 also are sealed but they have wes address written on their envelope , so now shud i paste a new slip on it of new address of loma linda and mail them as it is sealed ........ or not?
Next thing is---- do they accept transcripts via email like if my university people directly email my transcript to lomalinda ????
confused ,please reply asap, anybody. thanks

Hey akds,

I wish I knew the answer however its bit complicated. So I would probably call the school and go with it. Sorry folk.
Also I doubt about the email part of the transcript. Anything and everything has to be in a sealed envelope..

I don't know about this year but last year they were only accepting transcript coming directly from our university with uni's stamps on it.
 
hey Harry, my transcripts are sealed and from the university but challenge is on their envelope univ people printed wes address....... now may i hide that address with the slip on it and i can write the address of loma linda or chicago school on that slip to hide the wes address....... otherwise trancripts are sealed, dats no prob......??
 
hey guys, plz help.

am taking toefl in 2 days, as chicago univ appli as already started, so shud i tell ETS right now before taking toefl exam to send my toefl report directlt to chicago or i shud see the results and then decide????
My reason of trying ahead of exam is it will save time as chicago univ prefers early applicat......but now i am not sure how the exam will go , .....just 1 day to decide....plz reply asap.

LLU wants transcript coming directly from your University.. They don't accept even sealed one from you. All other uni. accept sealed transcript except LLU.
I just checked their website and this year also they have mentioned that -'Official transcripts and diploma or certificate with English translations mailed to LLU directly by the dental university attended.''

Well I don't know if you are taking TOEFL first time or 2nd time just to improve your score. If you are taking it for the first time then you should/must ask ETS to send it directly as it will save time and money both. In 2nd case if you are retaking it then you should wait for the result to see if your new score is higher or lower than old score.

Hi guys i just wanted to make sure about the requirements, do they need ECE report to be sent directly to the university or just to CAAPID?
 
Im trying to send NBDE score report directly from ADA to Loma linda University but it keeps adding 2 reports and charging me for 2! did anybody else have the same problem?
 
just check that u r not filling up both the regional board and univ address too ... U have to leave the national board empty and just fill the address on second page

I am planning to apply to the school. I have already submitted my CAAPID application abd awaiting for the mail from Loma Linda regarding the supplemental material. I think it will take at least a week for it to come. In the meanwhile can anyone share what the essay question (if there is one) is for the supplemental material.

Does LLU use Kilgore or Columbia teeth for the bench test?

Well, I have 8 questions but all are different. I guess the questions are different for every applicant. And truly speaking the questions left me blank with no obvious answers... 😀

Has anyone heard about any IV calls from Loma Linda after the recent deadline? My online application says that they received all my documents but I never got a specific email from Loma Linda confirming that. Did anyone receive an application complete mail from them?

yes they did reply saying that they have received supplemental application ...
 
When would LLU sent the invitations for Interviews, any idea? Generally around what dates of a particular month, do they conduct their Interviews?

Dont have much of an idea but they should call no of seats X 4/5 candidates. Thats standard!. I am more happy to get the bench test invite because I never thought would able to make for it - since I have to go through so many things to order the transcripts and other documents from India and US. Phew!!!

Does anyone have an insight on the actual test? Can someone please tell me if we have to do our preps with or without water in llusd? And what sort of preps?
