I am still on the waitlist too. I received an email about a month and a half ago saying that I was still on the waitlist and to update them if I had gotten into a dental school or if any information had changed. I was encouraged to read that those of us still on the waitlist have priority in getting into next year's class though.
I hope they contact us.. I really want to start dental school this year.. I feel as though we work so hard.. we want to pay over 200,000 dollars, go to school for 4 years... but do not have the choice of acceptance...A school must accept us.. I have worked hard but now have reached a stage where I have no control over the decision that is made.. We live in a country where even though a being wants to learn and become something does not have the choice to become that something.. the decision must lie in our hands.. not in the hands of others.. we must be appreciated for wanting to do something not denied the right of learning and helping others.. i hope loma linda accepts me.. The privilage to help others.. to do something I like is a gift itself.. Why have I and others reached a stage in our lives where we can't move forward and do what we wish?

I too am still on the waiting list and have yet to hear anything other then the email sent out awhile back. Does anyone have any understanding towards what "priority" even guarantees? Have they encouraged anyone to retake their DAT scores?
Anytime I try to extract information over the phone, I am given slightly vague answers. It's unfortunate that at this point I have no control over my acceptance.

I have no idea what priority means exactly, but it sounds good! lol I think all you can do bandzharian is continue to do what you have been doing. On paper a person can only see so much, but when you interview is when you can really shine as an individual and everyone can see how passionate you are to become a dentist and use your skills to help others. glo1984, during my interview, my interviewer suggested I might retake the DAT if I didn't get in that cycle lol so now I am retaking it.
What materials are you using to retake the DAT? Did you use CracktheDAT software for PAT prep?

I just checked to see if i had completed all the financial aid requirements and what i saw was 100% complete with the funds ready! All I need now is a miracle. An acceptance that will make my dreams come true. I called several times myself but was also given vague answers.. all i know is someone could drop out last second and they could give us a call asking us to attend their school. So I stand with hope to see what happens.. Does anyone know when their dental school starts? Date?

We start with this special class Sept 1, but our main school starts Sept 7
