How much easier is it for a seventh day adventist student to be admitted versus a non-seventh day adventist student, given decent 3.3-3.4 gpa and decent dat scores (18+)??

if you're not a 7th day with those numbers there is no shot in hell, save your money.

a student with a 3.0 GPA and an 18 DAT probably won't be accepted anywhere, jesus or no jesus

lol.. even prayers can't help there.

actually it really depends on the applicant as a whole. they look more than just at scores.. but in this case.. that applicant probably has to have a spectacular profile (research, dental experience, and extra-curricular) to complement those stats to get accepted.

the reason this was of interest to me was because I actually know of an SDA student who was admitted with a sub 3.0 gpa and mediocre DAt

well, then you got your answer there.. there's always exceptions... i forgot to mention LOR's. it seems LLU are looking for folks that will fit into their schools. a good LOR will probably be the best way to show this.

yes but this is just a one case scenario........I guess my question is, for LLU admissions personnel, do mere numbers i.e. gpa, dat outweight the fact that you are of seventh day adventist faith?? or vice versa??

whatever your stats are, if you don't show respect and probably appreciation too for their environment, then I don't think you'll get in with a 4.0 and a 30.

they want someone who will benefit from their program, and someone who can give back to their community, and any successful applicant needs to demonstate that they fit that description.

no, seventh day is the highest overriding aspect that LLU looks at. Bar none.
