I live on Long Island (Nassau County) and would like to know if anyone can recommend a good DO to shadow? I am interested in Sports Medicine, Spinal Injuries, etc. Any names would be highly appreciated, thanks. 😍

I would try to get ahold of someone at nycom, as I assume they would offer shadowing opportunities. Tom Scandalis, DO is a family practioner who specializes in sports injuries and practices out of the NYCOM Academic Health Care Center. If you're looking for a surgeon related to sports or spine injuries, Patricio Grob, DO at NUMC is an orthopedic spine surgeon and Donald Krieff, DO is one of the neurosurgeons at NUMC. There's also a few DO neurologists around. Check out www.nydoctorprofile.com for docs that practice in nassau county and search until you find a DO. You'll be able to tell their degree by checking out the physician's education.
