I have the chance to do some research with M. Ackerman at the Mayo Clinic who it seems is a well known figure in long QT. Is he well known around and would it be good to work with him in terms of possibly doing cards down the road?
If u publish it will be beneficial.
Any mentor who is well known in the academic world (I presume he is from the way u put his name across)...will add weight to your application if he vouches for your u during fellowship application
Dr. Ackerman is a well known pediatric cardiologist and researcher. His work in LQTS probably makes him reasonably well known in adult cardiology, especially electrophysiology, as well. Take this opportunity.
