To any consultant pharmacist out there doing LTC, how did you get your job? Did you have a residency, experience, a geriatric certification, etc? Is working in the pharmacy necessary to get a consulting position?
I had a rotation doing this, and it seemed like the perfect job, but it seemed like a difficult opportunity to find. Now, I'm stuck at Walgreens for the next 3 years but wondered if there is anything I can do now to increase my chances of having a job in LTC when my contract ends. Thanks!
