Which tooth has the longest crown of all permanent teeth?
I had thought it was the mandibular canine,but in 2001 dental decks corrections they have given it has maxillary centrals.I am confused.

mand canine definately has the largest crown . confirm from wheelers ... but im sure its not max CI.

hi!even i read it somewhere that max CI is the longest tooth in the arch.......but acc to Wheelers.Measurement tables........max CI's cervicoincisal lenght of the crown is 10.5 where as that of mand canine its 11......so mandibular canine is the longest tooth in the arch......gag

you are right , but in that case , the mandibular CI would be said to have the longest CLINICAL crown. now that might be a difference , depending on the question , if the anatomical crown was asked, the answer might be max CI

if they were asking for clinical crown the question would have specified. when they ask which is the tooth withthe longest crown,i think it should be considerd as anatomic crown .
