i've been looking at the stats for some medical schools and it seems like if a candidate is invited for an interview, their chances of gaining an acceptance are pretty good (30-40%) considering that most medical schools accept approximately twice the number of their entering class... what do u guys think?

I'm sure that some of those people got in off the waitlist. I would think if you had plenty of interviews then you have a pretty good chance of getting in somewhere.

It really depends on the school. A lot of schools screen applicants carefully before offering a few of them interviews, intending to accept the majority of them. Other schools give a lot of interviews and accept a small percentage of interviewees.
