Our emergency medicine department is looking for a program director. Facility is a major trauma center, located in South Texas. Programs director will do anywhere from 10 to 15 clinical shifts a month for a rate of 275/hr, there will be protected administrative time, faculty stipend and partnership in addition to hourly rate mentioned earlier. Candidates must have either most recent program director/associates program director experience or have recent core faculty experience of three years or more. Yeah that's a lot, but at least the pay seems good!

Uhhhhhhh... yeah, I work 8 shifts a month. Anything more than 50% time and I'd literally never do this job. The amount of admin work and issues you have to deal with as a PD would never be worth it if you were working nearly full-time while doing so. Our full time core faculty work 12 nines.
