Hi there.. after checking other brands of loupes.. I admit I was yearning for a better brand that had a higher field of view and resolution, though not to say Universal didnt have a sufficient FOV etc. The other thing was that it was difficult to contact Universal loupes (perhaps it is easier when local).
This loupe buying has been quite a hassle, that I hope once I do get a pair, I will be able to keep them for at least a reasonable few yrs of my working life.

I think u should get good loupes so u keep on using them for years and years to come. Try to buy the best loupes , make use of any student discount and try to finance.
U can never guarantee that the used loupes u buy don't have scratches. at the same time if u intend to use them for a long time get good ones. It's worth it.

I think you should definitely purchase a good set of loupes they are worth the investment but i'm just not convinced that you need to spend thousands on a pair i have found that places like Shultz Optical have high quality dental loupes at a significantly lower prices.

the cheap quality lenses will harm the eyes instead of giving any benefits.
While going through the website of binoloupe.com, I found there are high quality STAC loupes available at deep discounted prices. This can be a good option for the people on budget.
These are demo models reconditioned to new. they come with company warranty.
I thought this information might help if some one is still looking for a good quality loupe at budget price.

I bought a pair of Loupes on Ebay. They appeared to be new, but had a slight scratch on the lens. I tried to work with the seller (who also sells other dental equipment) but they were not willing to help me out as they stated the loupes were new.
I then bought a pair of 3.0 loupes online at Prolight Optics. The price is lower than most other discount retailers, and so far the loupes have been great!

I order my new dental loupes Flip Up 2.5x Working distance 420mm sports frames from Careoptical. receiving the loupes within 3 working days with good conditions. the price is very low (the sellers looks like a real manufacturer), I just only pay USD148.00. the dental optics lens quality is very good, I am very satisfied with that.
