Hey folks,

I'm currently in the process of looking for a place to rent off campus in Dublin and am wondering when I should go to secure a place for September... I'm at UCD for the four year program and was looking at like Rathmines and Ranelagh area. I am contemplating heading over there in early July for a couple of weeks to hunt for a place... alternatively I'd head there late July and look for a place until school actually starts...

I'm keeping an eye on websites like Daft.ie for flats/apartments. I'd be interested in getting a broker as well. Any insight into the process of finding a place to live in Dublin would be greatly appreciated... I guess my biggest concern is leaving myself enough time to find something great.

'Hope this finds everyone well!
Thanks in advance.

Hi there, I just graduated from UCD medicine this year and have got a job as an intern at St. James's hospital. I have a single room available in a 3 bedroom penthouse in Milltown. Milltown is just south of Ranelagh and on the LUAS line that will take you into town. The apartment is in the Shanagarry apartments in Milltown. The rent for the single room is 450 euro per month (an absolute steal for Dublin). The apartment is a 15 minute walk from where your classes will be in Belfield and a 10-15 minute LUAS ride into town. Myself and another UCD medical student will be living in the apartment (I'm female and the other tenant is male). The lease starts July 2nd and runs for a year. I am from New York myself originally. If you're still looking for a place this is a great apartment for an amazing price for Dublin's current rent rates.
