Looking for Peds cardiac job

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.

My old private practice has been taken over by the hospital and they are currently rebuilding the entire department and are actively hiring, if you're interested in living in the Chicago area. Package seems decent.

  • Supportive Call Schedule: NO in-house call or call back, approx. one 1st call every other week and one 2nd call every other week, approx. one weekend call per month

I bet someone clicked the wrong box in their job posting system.

For the peds person, yes. I’ve worked a few places where this was the case since there were adult people in house.

If it’s based on 40 hrs including calls and beeper calls. It’s a good deal. The weekend backup is 72 hrs. That is ur time. Need to be rewarded with 72 hrs off in addition to the lowly 8 weeks.

W2 docs need to understand their worth and their time commitment

Looking for a peds cardiac job. I am willing to do gen peds, okay with adults, just no OB.
My private practice group is actively hiring - we do 100% peds at a standalone children's hospital. We have a team of peds cardiac trained people who do the pump cases and single ventricle patients, but the majority of us (all peds fellowship trained) will do cardiac kids for general OR cases, some cath lab cases, etc. Send me a message if interested!
