Is there a place where I can see pivot the residency matches were by age and speciality

Context : Am 39 y.o looking to get into med . Wanted to validate my passion with some data that shows mid 40's people match into residency after MD. I see both success and failure stories at SDN hoping to see data to back it up

Not sure if they have data on age of residents vs. specialty, but definitely lots of data by specialty

AAMC has good data . I could find this by age but not able to interpret the data

Program Directors of surgical and sub surgical specialties might be a bit apprehensive about your age, but most other specialties won't have any issues with your age. There was one person in my class who was in high 40s and he matched IM easily.

My mother started an IM residency right before turning 50. It was not easy, but with networking, dedication, and lots of hard work (and faith in oneself), it happened.
