Hey guys,

I'm going into my senior year of undergrad and am looking to add courses that I know I can do well in but that are also meaningful and don't look like bs classes. I've been doing research at my school for a while and have the opportunity do take an internship course (4 credits) that is listed as a 400 level chemistry class. It is basically just doing your research ~15 hours a week and you get graded based on weekly presentations as well as an end of the semester presentation. How do you think this course would be waited by dental schools? Would it count towards my sGPA? My current GPA is around a 3.4 with my sGPA at about a 3.3 so I'm looking to capitalize on my final year to bring that up a little. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks!

Have you taken anatomy, physiology, microbiology, maybe even cell molecular biology?

I haven't. Im a chemistry major so I took the intro bio series, genetics, and biochem. Next year I have to take physical chem. which is known to be ridiculously time consuming at my school. So, I was trying to find a class that wasn't as demanding so I can still maintain my pchem grade. But you have a good point, I should look into some of those courses.

I think it just depends on the professor if its demanding or not. Anatomy needed a lot of time, but physiology and microbiology not so much.

Maybe try an astronomy class? I believe that counts under science 🙂

I'm a biochem major. Took PChem II, PChem II lab, and molecular biology last semester. It can be done. Good luck!
