I've been lurking around this forum for a while and have posted on a few occasions with questions related to MD-PhDs in social science (medical anthropology specifically). Most of the time I've gotten very sincere (and appreciated!) responses from people who aren't at all involved in the social sciences/humanities.

Starting this thread to see if there is anyone else out there who is interested in, currently on, or done with this educational track? Would love to find some current students or graduates for advice, though comparing notes with other peeps preparing to apply would be great too.

Post up and let's show these basic science nerds we're just as capable, motivated, and ill-informed about the reality of MD-PhD education as they are!!

Just gonna bump this thread once to see if I can catch anyone. If no one responds I'll let it die, and continue this lonely journey :(

I'm a a second year MD/PhD in Linguistics. You aren't alone :)
