This is a strange question, but I heard that a picture is supposed to be submitted along with your app.

I live in Ann Arbor, and I've also noticed that the Dental school girls always seem to be a lot more attractive than the medical or pharmacy school chicks.

Do looks matter? If you have a nice smile, does it add like a DAT point or something? I know so many smokin Dental school chicks.

I dated one, but she was crazy (long story) She actually got me thinking about dental in the first place.

lol I was about to ask the same question. I am taking Kaplan class and there are so many good looking girls (some are perfect) in my class 🙂 I guess just another reason why we shouldn't do medical or pharmacy.

and so far non of the dental school girls that i saw are attractive. They are average looking. Even at the interviews with the make up on i didnt find them attractive.

Realistic answer: No with a tiny hint of yes that looks (or perhaps self presentation) do matter.

I doubt looks really matter, as long as you look presentable. I am betting that those pretty girls you saw had some pretty hot grades and DAT scores to back them up.

After going to my interviews...Looks definitely must not matter much for male acceptance though. haha jk

Yeah, maybe, but they're crazy too (personal experience). All intelligent/driven/professional women are crazy, you just have to find the crazy you can gel with. I'm happy that many of you will find these crazies in your dental school adventure.😉

I mean most of the girls who were interviewing with me and the dental student females I met were cute... but defenitly not "smooking hot" material..... Actually I did meet one at Temple, she was 4th year I believe... my lord, I was in love for the 20 minutes she was with us

Lets get real here folks, the adcoms are looking for students who know what theyr getting themselves into and be able to handle the heavy science curriculum.... in neither scenario does looks come into play.

I think OP is trolling. Or maybe everything is just bigger and uglier in Texas. I'll argue that the girls in dental school are more attractive than their age group in the general population but most of them are probably 7's and 8's with maybe a couple a dozen being a 9 or 10. So no DAT bump, OP. Maybe a man-bump because the guys in dental school are so much disproportionately uglier than their female counterparts.

looks certainly help, but Personality matters more. It's been statistically proven (or perhaps just coincidence) that better looking people get jobs over equally-qualified candidates who aren't as good looking. Sorry, ugly kids.

i'm pretty sure there are a lot of adcoms out there who are biased on looks...thats why some schools have more than one adcoms interviewing you and reviewing your apps for this type of reasons.
