Hello,
I am looking for some advice in who to ask for LORs. I currently work as a research assistant in a lab and work closely with my lab manager, who is not the PI of the lab. Should I get a LOR from them over the PI? Or is getting a letter from the PI more important even though they don't really know me? Ultimately I am likely to get a LOR from both, but I wonder which will hold more weight as I know many schools have LOR caps and may have to choose between them.
