If my school has a comitte where they put the two letters of recommendations together do i have to do that, or can i just tell my teachers to just send in their letters of rec separately without the comittee getting involved. What is prefered? Will it make a difference? Thanks

I remember asking my counsler about that when I was applying. We do not have a comittee at our school and she told me that that was to my advantage. The comittee will rank you compared to the students at your university, getting into dental school is already competative enough, but when you have to also be ranked against your classmates, it makes it a little bit harder. I think if your school has a comittee you have to use it, but I may be wrong. Talk to your counsler and prospective dental schools. Hope this helps.

I went through the pre-professional committee and it made it much easier. They organized all the letters for me and included a nice cover letter from the director. They'd mail the letters to whichever schools I wanted.
