Take the LOR in my opinion. LORs themselves are numerous, but good detailed LORs from someone who has worked with you a lot over time don't come around every day.
Sometimes when I work with attendings, the biggest thing I learn from them is "I don't want to be like that". Take all the lessons from Dr. D, the good and the bad.
Be like Dr. D with your patients, be like yourself with your colleagues.
