Hi guys, I'm in the process of deciding whether or not to apply late in the game here. Was going to apply next cycle, but just got MCAT scores back and am quite pleased and thinking about going ahead and applying now.
Trying to get a handle on deadlines, etc.
My first question: if the AMCAS deadline for the schools I'm applying to is Nov. 1st, then I have to know who my letter writers will be by then? Because I will have to list their names on the application? But I do not have to actually have them write their letters yet?
I'm confused because the deadline for secondary materials at one of the schools I'm applying to isn't until March 15th--but that seems like far, far too late to submit the letters by.
So am I missing something here? Is there some unspoken deadline by which it's advisable to have the letters actually submitted by?
Thanks a lot!
