Basically I’m not sure how strong one LOR I have is. I’ve made a thread on this before in the past. Basically, I’m not really sure if I should use a science LOR I have because it might be negative or super strong (professor talks behind students back so he’s kinda unreliable at face value tho he’s LOR in the past have gotten me awards. He mentioned he didn’t change much from these LOR to the one he’s submitted for medical school.

So basically I submitted his LOR to the schools that send out early II (Jeff, Georgetown, keck, Kaiser) to see if I would get the II (which would make me think it wasn’t negative LOR), but haven’t heard back yet from them. Basically my options to submit LOR for all my other schools are this:

1) Submit 3 LOR which im fairly confident are all strong (1 science, 1 nonscience, 1 science research graduate student co-signed by pi) right away and submit my iffy LOR when I get the II

2) wait to submit all my LOR until I get II

Are you working w your school’s prehealth committee at all?
Perhaps they can screen the letter for you if you’re getting a committee letter or letter packet etc

Unfortunately no committee letters at my school

Is there any sort of letter uploading system where you might be able to get someone in your prehealth office to preview the letter on your behalf?

You might even want to suggest having your LOR email it to your advisor as well just to have it on file but also for your own benefit in case the letter is mediocre or not strong and advised not to use it

If i were you i would not submit a letter that i was uncertain about. Whether you get interviews or not could hinge on what that letter says. Idk just my two cents!
