Hi guys
I did some shadowing work in a periodontist's office. I didn't ask for a LOR, should I? Im just gonna state in my application that I did shadowing with this doctor and heres how to reach him. Should I get some kind of a letter from him? or if the dental school is curious they will call him themselves? Thank you.

Good question, and it will depend on the school. Some schools will require a letter of rec from a dentist to complete your file. Others, like Tufts, was a letter that states that you have done more than 30 hours of shadowing.

But it think it is a good idea to get a LOR especially if you have a good standing with the doctor and have shadowed enough hours.

yeah.. it really depends if they would write u a good letter or not.
