yeah, rotation or research or even shadowing a physician for couple of the months. That's what my spouse did 20+ years back and got 2 LORs and helped to match.

^^^ My classmates did telerotations, you basically pay a **** ton, talk through a few scenarios or patients with the doc then collect an LOR.
