I'm a 4th year med student from Italy seriously interested in applying for an observership/rotation in a US med school this summer. I already have 2 professors willing to write LORs for me but they are wondering if there is a specific format they should use.
My understanding is that it's up to them to write whatever they want, but should I let them know more or less what the word count should be, what they should talk about etc?
I don't think they have written many if any, since it's not something that we use at all in Italy.
