Here is my situation. I have worked oversea for a long time and while then, I shadowed a dentist who received his DDS from Argentina for about 100+ hours. Then, I was transferred back to the states and shadowed a dentist here for about ~30-40 hours.

My question is.. who should I get the LOR from?

I was told that the school will prefer the LOR from the U.S. trained dentist because they can easily verify his credential. However, since I only shadowed the U.S. trained dentist for 30~40 hours, I am not sure if he is going to write me a good LOR.

I know the foreign trained dentist will write a good LOR because we know each other really well and still keep in touch.

Please advise.

Thanks!

So what's the question?

So what's the question?

I am still struggling because I have only shadowed the dentist (trained in US) for 30-40 hours and I am afraid of what he is going to say... or it doesn't matter?

It shouldn't matter. My dentist LOR was from a dentist who earned her DDS in India. Nobody batted an eyelash and I got acceptances.
