Hi my dentist wrote me a letter of recommendation and he showed it to me yesterday. The letter doesn't include how many hours I have completed. It does say that I started shadowing from XX year and my involvement and enthusiasm towards dentistry. So, do you guys think it's necessary that dentist include number of hours I shadowed?

I have done 150 hours.

You're allowed to see the letter they wrote?

If you want to apply to Tufts though, you want him to include the number of hours, because they require proof in the form of a letter from a general practice dentist who you have shadowed under for more than 40 hours.

No it doesn't matter unless you apply to Tufts. If it's not included and you apply to Tufts, they told me last year that they'll call and confirm.
