is a LOR from a dentist required/recommended for USC/UCLA/UCSF/Boston/NYU?

If not, I can have LORs ready by June and submit early but I guess I would be willing to submit later (in late July) if a LOR from a dentist can strengthen my app significantly..

UCSF's site says: require 1 letter from either a dentist or a advisor/researcher/mentor but doesnt say a dentist letter would be ideal or recommended
UCLA doesn't specify at all

Not sure about those school specifics, but some of the schools I am considering say they want a dentist, but will accept a letter from a place you volunteered at etc. (even if its not dental related).

Best thing to do is just call the admissions office of those schools and ask.
