i did research during my senior year of high school and i'm wondering if it's kosher to ask the pi for a recommendation. it was actually at one of the med schools to which i am applying, so i think it would have some leverage if it was accepted. anyone know what the ruling is on this?

you should only get LOR's from people who know you best from your most important experiences. if you did nothing more valuable in college than what you did 'researching' in high school, then you should still look at other options because I doubt anyone will take it seriously, especially as people change after 4+ years.
