Hey everyone,
So basically I have one science LOR on the way from a professor, he was more than happy to get one to me - I took biochem with this prof. However there is another one I want to ask for a LOR and so far I have taken two classes with this prof, one with which I got an A in and one with which I will very likely get a B in. The class I got an A in had about 120 students in it, however the class I am currently taking with her right now is small and the prof knows my name because of this. Unfortunately I will be most likely getting a B in that this course. Would it be bad for me to ask for a LOR from her? I visit her office hours every once in a while but see her a lot and talk to her a good amount since it is a lab, there are about 8 hours of labwork a week supervised by her and a TA.
Unfortunately she is the only science prof that I took recently where I did well in her class. I'm not the best labbie, which is why I think she will turn me down, but I did do well in her regular lecture class (94%, A). I have no other profs to go to because I honestly didn't get to know any other professors. If I were to ask her, how should I go about it? I would obviously prepare a CV, hopefully have a personal statement rough draft, and give her my transcripts. Any advice from anyone whose been in my situation?
