Hi Im planning to apply to dental school. I am currently volunteering in a research center and I believe that I can get a good recommendation letter from my research supervisor....do dental schools accept LORs from research centers? because to my information they i only need 3 LORs from my professors and one from the dentist that I shadowed for.
thanks

depends on the schools your applying to.

Some will require 2 from science professor, and 1 from whatever

It really depends on how you mix & match the LORs. AADSAS will only accept a maximum of 4 letters, so you need to be certain that the 4 you select satisfy the requirement of all schools..... Otherwise your application won't be complete at that school (meaning they won't review it).

If you are missing a letter for a school, contact the school and see if they are willing to receive it (paper format) directly from the writter/you.... some schools might have an issue with this since almost everyone is switching to paperless application.

How do schools know how to categorize your professor? Do the professors HAVE to mention the course they taught or something?
