Has anyone given a LOR from a stats prof as a science letter? was it accepted as a science letter?

I just want to make sure.

Thanks!

Hey sc2016,

Statistics is a part of BCPM so you should be good to go! FWIW, I had Biostatistics and Physiology for my 2 science recs. You should still check with each school to see if it satisfies their requirements. All the best.

You should definitely check with every school you apply to. They each have a different definition of "science."

But if I were on an admissions committee, I would not accept a LOR from a statistics professor.

I have a letter from my biostats prof, which acted as one of my science LORs for this cycle.

I'm holding an acceptance.

If you feel like your prof knows your strengths, go for it
