Can I get a LOR from a TA (science class 2 years ago) who is now a professor for the same course? I took the course 2 years ago when she was the TA for my lab section and now she is one of the professors teaching the same course.

Is it okay to get a LOR from her? If so, how do I go about telling her to not mention she was my TA when I took the class with her?

Why would a professor write a deceptive letter for some random student from a lab she TA'd for 2 years ago?

Why can't you ask one of your regular professors?

I posted my response in the LOR thread. http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?p=12007358#post12007358

Well that was the last science course I took and it was 2 years ago. I need 2 LOR from science professors right?

Why don't you go ask the TA/professor how he/she feels about it. Just explain how you need letters from science professors, and ask how she would feel about writing it despite having been your TA at that time. If you know them well (hopeful if you're asking for a LOR), maybe you can have a very open and candid conversation about the factors in play.

That does not answer the question of why you think a professor would write a deceptive letter for you.

It also does not answer the question of why you can't ask the professor from that course to write you a LOR.
