LOR from TA

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
my sister did it for optometry school and she got in all the schools she applied to. (maybe b/c of her stats tho lol)

she told me that if the TA knows you really well that he or she can write a letter that stands out, go for it. Otherwise, professors are the way to go.

don't quote me on this though

I am not 100% sure whether it's acceptable or not so I will not comment on it but one thing I know is that some schools will specifically require for LORs from certain classes' professors (bio, chem, etc.) and if you are submitting TAs LOR, it would not work for them (and many times school will not tell you that you're not even considered for interview because your application is not complete until you call them)

Make sure to at least look at all the schools you're planning on applying and their requirements for LORs.

It is always the safest to go with professors (and science professors) since that would work out with most of school's requirements.

I don't see a problem with it but you do need letters from your professors. Not sure on how many, I think 2 and another from a working dentist. That can be your 4th letter.
