Hello,
My undergrad gpa is a 2.9, grad gpa is a 3.9, and will be taking the DAT Aug 15. I began to ask for LOR's already, and realize that the LOR may be mailed in even before I submit my AADSAS. Will this be a problem? Will AADSAS lose my LOR's? I'm thinking about submitting my application after I take my DAT, or at least near that time. Any suggestions?? Thanks a bunch.

You don't need to wait until you take the DAT before you turn in your AADSAS. You want to be in the first few mailing batch, so my advice to you is to do it now! It will only be to your advantage to turn in your stuff early. Good luck in your application.

P.S. do well in your DAT. It can make you or break you! Just sacrifice 2 hard core studying months and you won't regret it once you have that acceptance letter in your hands.

You might want to rethink sending your application. Check out the post I have below about submitting your application with a low GPA and no DAT. I was in your shoes last week. I have a 2.9 GPA and no MCAT with a grad GPA of 4.0. I'm taking the DAT on August 15th as well. I'm going to wait until my DAT because some schools will reject you based just on your DAT. Those schools won't care to wait for your DAT scores.

You're right mcataz. I was reading the post too fast bbpower that I failed to consider your undergrad GPA. Just study hard for the DAT and do well. A little sacrifice now will be worth it. Regarding your concern, I think just because your LOR might get there before you complete your application does not increase the probability that they will lose it. They have lost things before and the chance of them losing your LOR is probably the same as if they got it later. However, I'm not 100% sure so I would call them. (800) 353-2237.

Good luck on the DAT!

Thanks so much for your replies! Yeah I think I'll do my best as far as studying for the DAT's go! Time is really ticking. Best of luck to all.
