Sorry for the millionth ERAS question. I did a search but couldn't find an answer. I noticed that ERAS labels the letters of recommendation as #1, #2, #3, etc. Does this labeling matter? I will have 4 LORs eventually, 2 from a research experience, 1 from the anes chairs, and 1 from an anesthesiology attending that I will work with most closly over the next month on my sub-i. I already have the research letters, so they are entered as #1 and #2.
However, I'm concerned about the anesthesiology attending letter being labeled #4, since this is the one that the programs are going to want to read. Unfortunately, I can't assign this one to programs in ERAS yet, because I don't know who it will be.
I'm worried, because I've been told that programs can choose whether or not they want to read the 4th LOR. Will they decide which one is my "fourth," or do they go by how I have it labeled in ERAS?
