Hello everybody. I am quite new to the site. Well I am posting this question, hope you guys can help me =D

I am planning to take my DAT in late August. This will be my first time applying to d-schools.

I have bunch of question...Please answer them for me....Thanks.
My questions are;

1) I already have signed up for the ADEA (?. the website you pay lots of money for sending in your application). I have filled in most of the stuff already but have not yet completed the sections for

- Letters of Recommendation -
- Personal Statement -

I wish to complete my application by end of the September latest. (must I think). If I ask for the letters somewhat late and if the letters are completed by beginning of the September, would that be a problem completeing my application on time?
(I know there are "electronic" option which you can choose, maybe this can speed up the processing time faster, I don't know how exactly it works though... )

*I guess what I really want to know is how long does it take ADEA to process the LORS?

** Plus, is it okay to submit three LORs rather than usual 1 committee letter + 1 LOR from a professor?? What do you guys think? Based on what I have read, I got the impression that schools prefer the latter.

2) About the personal statement; is this required in order to have the application "complete"? I think so, but just want to make sure...

3) About applying early thingie, so is it possible to send in my application w/o my DAT scores??
I've been reading threads that earlier you apply, the better chance you have.

Can my application be sent in if I complete all other sections (only w/o DAT scores) ? or should I wait until I take my DAT in late August?
(And if the answer to first question is yes, would I be better off by doing that??)

My state school has the priority date of Oct 1 and I really wish to complete all my application by end of Sept and send it in by then. I just want to get things done, just so puzzled with all this process things...

Please help me out...You will be greatly appreciated. thanks !! = D

1) Don't delay ask for you letters now. Some professors take much longer than you expect to write letters. I thought mine would be done in 2 weeks...it took 2 months for them to write them.

You can submit to AADSAS BEFORE your letters are sent. AADSAS takes about a month to process and send out to schools. Your letters are sent to AADSAS and if they are received before your packet is sent to schools, then they go along with it. If LORS are sent to AADSAS after your packet is already mailed to schools, then they are sent in the next mailing (usually within a week).
2) Yes, the PS must be done in order for it to be complete.
3) You are much better off submitting your AADSAS before you take the DAT. AADSAS does not require LORS or DAT scores to be complete. Do not send DAT scores to ADEA, send them directly to schools.

P.S. read the sticky at the top of the board about 2009 appln it has all this in there and AADSAS has FAQS on their website
